Privacy Policy
Full Page Screenshot does not collect, store, transmit or sell any data. It makes no network requests of any kind. Everything it does happens on your own computer, inside your own browser.
What the extension does
When you click its toolbar button, Full Page Screenshot scrolls the page you are looking at, photographs it one screenful at a time using Chrome's own screenshot function, and joins those photographs into a single image. That image is shown to you in a new tab, where you can save it as a PNG file or copy it to your clipboard.
What we collect
Nothing. There is no account, no sign-in, no analytics, no crash reporting, no advertising and no tracking of any kind. We do not know who you are, that you installed the extension, or that you ever used it.
Specifically, the extension does not collect or transmit:
- Personally identifiable information
- Health, financial or authentication information
- Personal communications
- Location information
- Browsing history, or the addresses of pages you visit
- The contents of pages you capture
- Usage statistics of any kind
Where your screenshots go
Nowhere, unless you send them somewhere yourself. The captured image is built in your browser's memory and shown to you in a tab. Saving it writes a file to your own computer through Chrome's normal download process. Copying it places it on your own clipboard. The image is never uploaded, and it is discarded when you close the results tab.
Permissions, and why they are needed
- activeTab — lets the extension photograph the tab you are on, but only for the tab that is open when you click the toolbar button, and only from that click onwards. It gives no access to any other tab, and no access at all until you ask for a screenshot.
- scripting — lets the extension scroll the page and briefly set aside floating headers and banners, so they do not repeat down the finished image. Everything it changes is put back afterwards.
The extension deliberately requests nothing else. It does not ask for access to your browsing history, your tabs, your storage, or to specific websites.
Remote code
The extension contains no remote code. All of its code is included in the package you install from the Chrome Web Store, and none is downloaded or executed from anywhere else.
Children
The extension collects no data from anybody, of any age.
Changes to this policy
If this policy ever changes, the updated version will be published on this page with a new date at the top. Should a future version of the extension ever collect anything at all, that change would be described here before it shipped.
